Texas Instruments is actively seeking a Production Assistant to join our team. This role supports production, planning, or engineering operations within the factory through administrative tasks, including inventory management. Responsibilities may include such tasks as planning, monitoring, coordinating, scheduling and recording products and materials through various production phases. May expedite parts to remedy shortage problems.

Minimum requirements:

  • Act as the contact for quartz issues for both TIers and suppliers.  
  • Be interested and invested in all aspects of RFAB quartz.
  • Follow specs and procedures as well as recommend changes when needed.
  • Understand contamination concerns associated with quartz. 
  • Understand the different quartz materials, processes and repair methods.
  • Be able to use Excel, Trackworks, SAP, Quartz Database.
  • Be able to maintain an inventory database accurately.
  • Be able to ship/receive material from RFAB to vendors.
  • Be able to read and understand CAD engineering drawings to identify parts.
  • Understand the change control process for RFAB.
  • Continuously work with engineering to proactively improve overall quartz system and compliance.

     

  • Role Details:
  • Fab and Lower Level Quartz Rooms Expectations
  • 1.  Inventory parts in cabinets.  Cross reference with database to ensure accuracy.  Also perform full audit on a monthly basis.
  • 2.  Keep bins stocked with highly used quartz parts from stockroom.
  • 3.  Maintain cabinet cleanliness and organization.
  • 4.  Maintain KEAL case cleanliness and organization.   Alert engineering if repairs are needed.
  • 5.  Keep the rooms in good 5s condition (trash removed, floors cleaned, surfaces wiped, cabinets labeled, etc)
  • 6.  Keep one set each of Nitride, TEOS, and Poly staged in KEAL cases at all times in fab room. 
  • 7.  Remove dirty and damaged parts from fab immediately and prepare for shipment.
  • 8.  Keep metalware kits ready in KEAL cases at all times in fab room.

    Parts Cleaning and Repairs

  • 1.  Ship out dirty parts for cleaning.  Should try to keep kits together.   
  • 2.  Update quartz database for all parts sent out for cleaning or repairs.   Update again when parts are returned.
  • 3.  Track status of parts out for clean/repair.  Escalate with the vendor and engineering for any that are not returned as expected.
  • 4.  Disposition quartz that Quantum tags as non-conformal.    
  • 5.  Determine if repair would be cost effective.  Request engineering input for final decision.    
  • 6.  Track effectiveness of repairs.  
  • 7.  Pareto reasons for repairs as well as track cost of repairs.
  • 8.  Verify invoice against manifest for cleaned/repaired parts.
  • 9.  Generate PRs for cleaning/repair. 
  • 10. Ability to lead bi weekly quartz meetings on opportunities for improvement and ask for help when needed.   

    Shipping/Receiving

  • 1.  Ship and receive parts from dock in a timely manner and according to RFAB procedures.    
  • 2.  Cross reference parts received with goods receipt.  If not matched, take appropriate action. 
  • 3.  Store parts in appropriate location.  Update quartz database accordingly.
  • 4.  Update master spreadsheet to track arrival of newly purchased parts.
  • Quartz Database
  • 1.  Keep database accurate at all times.  Escalate any discrepancies to engineering.   THIS IS CRITICAL since the database is used for all parts of the quartz process.

    Vendor Contacts

  • 1.  Maintain list of preferred suppliers by part # in quartz database.
  • 2.  Work with suppliers to prioritize deliveries determined by RFAB master schedule.  Immediately contact engineering if parts are late which could affect tool release.
  • 3.  Get quotes from suppliers as needed.
  • 4.  Assist with quartz usage/spend forecasting.

    Supply Continuity

  • 1.  Monitor SMI and expense stock levels. Optimize min/max levels.  Ensure supplier conformance.
  • 2.  Submit new parts requests, SMI requests, and general PR's for spares and new installs per Engineering parts lists.
