Marsh Risk is currently seeking a Graduate to join its Finance FP&A team, based in Milan. This role is hybrid, with a requirement to work from the office three days per week.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Graduate will support the Marsh Finance Director in the consolidation and review of forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans for Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean & Caspian Region. 

We will count on you to:

  • Play a critical role in the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.

  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and planning outlooks, highlighting material variances, risks, opportunities, and a range of outcomes.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the relevant revenue drivers, sources of growth, and business trends.

  • Prepare financial planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Update financial databases by entering, verifying, and securing data.

  • Assist in the development of budgets and quarterly forecasts; track and report on initiatives.

  • Assist in the month-end close process by preparing recurring, standard, and ad hoc reports, and by researching general ledger activities and variances to budget and prior year.

  • Analyze basic financial data and perform quantitative analyses to support sound and defensible recommendations.

  • Review and conduct simple analyses of financial planning information and reports, and make recommendations for changes to management.

  • Evaluate financial plans by identifying financial outcomes and potential returns.

  • Prepare financial presentations using a variety of formats, including charts, graphs, and econometric models.

  • Maintain best-practice policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

What you need to have: 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong critical/analytical thinker and business acumen

  • Fluency in English and in Italian

  • Knowledge of Power BI and previous internships in finance or audit will be considered a plus

What we offer:

  • Tailored career progression: The programme starts with a 6-month internship (monthly compensation: €800) and €8 meal vouchers per working day, smart working policy and well-being initiatives. At the end of the 6-month internship, based on the tutors' evaluation, the internship can proceed through an apprenticeship contract offering a starting gross annual salary of €28.000. The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (NCBA) applied is 'Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi’.
