TBSM prides itself on fostering a culture that emphasizes development, open‑mindedness, shared success, strong partnerships and value‑add initiatives. Significant emphasis is placed on developing people through a teaching culture, collaboration across teams and a commitment to diversity and inclusion to create an environment where individuals are encouraged to grow, challenge ideas constructively and contribute meaningfully to Treasury’s objectives.

Overview of Team and Individual Responsibilities:

The Asset & Liability Management (ALM) team within Treasury is responsible for the measurement, management and optimization of the Bank’s non‑trading market risk. The team plays a critical role in ensuring the institution remains financially resilient and strategically aligned by overseeing structural interest rate risk, balance sheet dynamics, hedging strategies and earnings sensitivity. Through disciplined analytics and risk identification, ALM supports Treasury’s mandate to deliver stable, sustainable earnings while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

The ALM Reporting & Analytics team is responsible for providing clear, timely and actionable insight into the Bank’s non‑trading market risks. The team delivers periodic risk and sensitivity reporting for Treasury leadership and governance forums, monitors risk positions against approved limits and explains key drivers and movements through disciplined attribution and analysis. In addition, the team conducts periodic reviews of risk measurement frameworks, methodologies and assumptions and leads ad hoc deep‑dive investigations in response to market events, business changes, or senior management requests.

The Treasury ALM Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end production, validation and analysis of the Bank's non-trading and capital FX risk and will support the broader team mandate to deliver Regulatory I3 reporting and internal management reporting and analysis. The Treasury ALM Manager performs detailed attribution and variance analysis to explain movements in risk metrics, ensuring results are accurate, well‑controlled and clearly communicated. The role also supports framework and methodology reviews and ad-hoc investigations through data gathering, visualization and crafting clear business narratives based on underlying data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze activity impacting capital and capital-related accounts, ensuring transactions and associated FX and IRR risk impacts are transparent and well understood.
  • Partner closely with Finance Operations and GL owners to navigate upstream GL data, ensuring transactions contributing to Non-Trading and Capital FX risk are accurately booked and captured in NTMR reporting.
  • Take ownership of existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and analytical clarity.
  • Analyze, validate and troubleshoot reported metrics, investigating discrepancies and escalating issues in line with established standards and controls.
  • Perform attribution, variance and driver analysis to explain movements in risk metrics and sensitivities.
  • Support framework and assumption reviews through impact analysis, testing and documentation.
  • Deliver ad hoc analytical deep dives, with a focus on data gathering, visualization and translating results into clear business insights for senior management.
  • Partner effectively with Treasury, Risk, Finance, and related teams to understand and deliver clear and concise financial results and analytical insights.

  • Strong proficiency with analytics and data tools, including SQL, Excel and business intelligence / visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience building analytical reports, dashboards and visualizations to support risk analysis and business decision‑making.
  • Exposure to data analytics techniques (e.g., data mining, statistical analysis or machine learning) and coding background considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with QRM or other similar treasury management systems considered an asset.

  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset and a commitment to producing accurate, well‑controlled analytical outputs.
