Job Description
The Contract Lifecycle Manager partners closely with IT to support the strategies and ongoing evolution of BAE Systems’ Space & Mission Systems (SMS) contract management capabilities across the Space and Mission Systems (SMS) sector. In this role, you will lead, together with an IT Project Manager, the sector‑wide transition from Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) to Icertis GovCon, helping guide the migration, shape user adoption, and promote a smooth implementation.
After cutover, this role will serve as the sector business lead for the GovCon Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform, representing business needs and contributing to the platform’s roadmap in alignment with the broader Inc. system strategy. You will help reinforce governance practices and strengthen the contract management ecosystem for a workforce operating in a highly regulated A&D environment. As a business lead and key liaison, you will ensure that processes, workflows, templates, data controls, and integrations align with contract requirements and effectively support program execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as the sector business lead for the CLM System, acting as a trusted advisor and providing scalable; practical solutions to stakeholders.
- Partner with sector IT and enterprise teams to help share the vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with SMS Contracts goals and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) to ensure system evolves in step with changing business requirements.
- Process Leadership & Change Control:
- Guide the design of workflows, templates, metadata, and clause libraries for all contract types.
- Facilitate formal change control activities with leadership and key stakeholders to assess and prioritize system enhancements.
- Ensure processes and changes meet business requirements, reflect industry best practices, and are supported by clear comprehensive documentation.
- Support compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, CPSR, cost/pricing regulations, and internal policies.
- Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, Programs, Finance, and Supply Chain to optimize end-to-end contract processes.
- Enhancements & Implementation:
- Support system improvements, integrations, upgrades, and release cycles.
- Partner with IT to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.
- Represent business priorities by securing appropriate resources, advocating for program success, making decisions within delegated authority, and elevating recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify and help manage implementation risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to data management and governance practices to promote accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Coordinate, support, and validate business testing activities.
- Provide business acceptance and confirm readiness of the implemented solutions.
- Business Operations & Change Leadership:
- Promote best-practice adoption across the SMS Contracts through transparent communication regarding system changes, process updates, and operational data.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, role-based standards, and training materials; facilitate training sessions to build workforce capability.
- Change management for new capabilities, policies, and releases, delivering clear and compelling communications to stakeholders.
- Risk, Compliance & Controls:
- Contribute to key controls supporting internal policies, audits, CPSR, DFARS, CMMC compliance, and record retention.
- Follow data governance practices to ensure appropriate system access based on role requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Define dashboards and insights related to cycle time, workload, risk, obligations, and compliance.
- Provide executive-level reporting to support leadership reviews and audits.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
Short Term Incentive: Subject to business performance and recommendations of management, this role may be eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in related field plus 12 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in Contracts, Legal Operations, or Program Operations, including at least at least 3 years in a managerial role or in a strategic product ownership capacity aligned with sector goals.
- Expertise in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) contracting
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Business Owner for Icertis or a comparable enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.
- Deep understanding of the government contracting lifecycle, including CPSR readiness, and audit-ready data governance.
- Proven success leading large-scale enterprise technology migrations and the associated organizational change management activities.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Contracting certifications: CPCM, DAU/FAI Contracting Cert.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $138267 - $235053

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
