At our Reynosa plant in Mexico, we are committed to the highest standards in the production of disposable medical products for dialysis treatments. With a dedicated team of more than 3,000 employees across four manufacturing sites, the plant focuses on manufacturing essential components such as hemodialysis disposables, peritoneal dialysis (PD) disposables, hemodialysis (HD) machines, and PD cycler machines.

As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will lead end-to-end sourcing activities, from gathering business requirements through supplier selection, contract negotiation, implementation, and supplier management. You will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers, Procurement teams, and cross-functional partners to achieve the best commercial outcomes while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and procurement standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of category strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct supplier scouting, market intelligence, due diligence, supplier qualification, and risk assessments to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, tenders, supplier selection, contract negotiations, implementation, and supplier onboarding activities.
- Analyze supplier proposals using benchmarking, should-cost models, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies to support sourcing decisions.
- Prepare and present sourcing recommendations, business cases, savings calculations, supplier comparisons, and risk assessments.
- Support supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, scorecards, business reviews, and escalation management.
- Collaborate with Business, Quality, GBS, Procurement, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality, supply, service, and commercial issues.
- Identify opportunities to optimize spend, reduce costs, improve services, mitigate supply risks, drive innovation, and ensure supply continuity.
- Ensure sourcing, tendering, contracting, pricing, and supplier documentation are maintained according to company standards and compliance requirements.
- Promote the use of procurement technologies, including SAP, SAP Ariba, eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, Spend Management, AI-enabled tools, and eAuctions.
- Ensure compliance with Fresenius Medical Care policies, standards, procedures, legal requirements, and ethical business practices.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Procurement/Supply Chain, Project Management, or Commercial Law certifications.
- 8+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Category Management, and/or Contract Lifecycle Management.
- 5+ years of experience working in multinational and global environments.
- Experience working with Global Business Services organizations.
- Experience in project management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Healthcare industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Tendering, Contracting, Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Market Intelligence, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and Should-Cost Analysis.
- Understanding of contract terms, liabilities, commercial law principles, and contract risk management.
- Knowledge of procurement technologies including Jaggaer, ContractPodAI, Sievo, ORO Labs, Aravo, Sustainability platforms, SAP, SAP Ariba, Power BI, and AI applications within Procurement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams).
- Advanced negotiation, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in fast-paced global environments.
- Ability to work effectively in virtual, geographically dispersed, and cross-cultural teams.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- U.S. Visa required.
