About Mercor
Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.
Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
About the Role
This is a rare, foundational hire: Mercor's first GTM Engineer. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering, growth, and operations — building the systems that power how Mercor acquires, serves, and expands customers.
You'll design and deploy the infrastructure behind Mercor's go-to-market engine from the ground up: integrating AI agents into customer workflows, building internal products for marketing and operations, and automating the repetitive work that slows down revenue teams.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional engineer with strong product instincts. You think of revenue as a systems problem, enjoy shipping quickly, and care about measurable business outcomes. You're equally comfortable building production software, working directly with customers, and partnering with marketing leadership to identify the highest-leverage opportunities.
What You'll Do
GTM Infrastructure & Internal Products
Build the systems that power Mercor's go-to-market organization, including marketing tooling, customer onboarding, CRM infrastructure, and internal workflows
Partner closely with Marketing, Operations, and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable technical systems
Design and maintain reliable integrations across our GTM stack using APIs, event-driven workflows, and internal services
Build internal applications and self-serve tools that increase the velocity of customer-facing teams
Instrument the customer funnel and develop dashboards that provide real-time visibility into pipeline, conversion, and operational performance
AI & Automation
Own Mercor's Agentic GTM roadmap — identifying the highest-leverage opportunities for AI across sales, customer success, recruiting, and operations
Build AI agents that automate customer research, lead qualification, account planning, outbound personalization, proposal generation, and internal workflows
Deploy production-grade automations using frontier language models, APIs, and workflow orchestration to eliminate repetitive operational work
Rapidly prototype new AI capabilities, measure their impact, and scale successful experiments into core business infrastructure
Stay at the frontier of AI tooling and proactively bring new technologies into Mercor's go-to-market organization
Systems, Scale & Reliability
Build robust, observable systems that customer-facing teams can rely on every day
Own data quality across GTM systems, ensuring accurate reporting, attribution, and operational metrics
Establish engineering best practices for internal tooling, testing, monitoring, and documentation
Continuously identify operational bottlenecks and build software that enables Mercor to scale efficiently as the business grows
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in software engineering, growth engineering, product engineering, solutions engineering, or a similarly technical role with a track record of shipping production systems
Excellent software engineering fundamentals with strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript (or similar modern languages)
Experience integrating APIs, building internal tools, and working across multiple business systems
Strong product intuition — you quickly identify high-impact problems and ship pragmatic solutions that drive measurable outcomes
A builder's instinct: you take ownership of ambiguous problems, move quickly, and know when to optimize for speed versus long-term maintainability
Excellent communication skills — you're comfortable working directly with customers, sales leaders, operators, and engineers
Experience thriving in fast-moving, high-growth environments
