HOLOGATE is looking for a skilled and versatile Lead Technical Artist (f/d/m) to strengthen our Art & Development teams. In this role, you will work at the intersection of art and technology, ensuring animations are seamlessly integrated into our immersive XR and VR experiences.

Responsibilities
- Lead and further develop the Technical Animation discipline across multiple projects
- Collaborate with artists and developers to integrate animations into gameplay and interactions
- Drive the implementation of character and object animations in Unreal Engine
- Own and optimize animation, rigging, and engine integration workflows
- Troubleshoot complex animation-related and pipeline issues
- Continuously improve technical pipelines and workflows between Art and Development
- Act as the technical interface between artists, programmers, and other stakeholders
- Mentor Technical Animators and promote best practices across the team
Key Qualifications
- Several years of professional experience as a Technical Animator or in a similar role
- Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring team members
- Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5)
- Solid understanding of animation pipelines and real-time animation systems
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Structured, solution-oriented working style
- Very good English skills; German is a plus
