The Senior Accountant plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, month-end closing activities, compliance, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
This position reports to the Controller and is part of the Finance & Accounting SSC team located in Chuansha, Pudong District, Shanghai.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports in compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Manage month-end close activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and annual asset verification.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Drive process improvements and support finance transformation initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support management requests as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing company.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end closing processes.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.
