Brokerage Operations Coordinator

Position Summary
The Brokerage Operations Coordinator provides operational and transactional support to the brokerage team, partnering closely with brokers to facilitate the successful marketing, placement, and servicing of insurance business. This role coordinates documentation, maintains accurate records and system data, supports compliance requirements, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution of brokerage activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution and coordination of day-to-day brokerage operations while supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.
- Partner with brokers to prepare submission materials, cover letters, and supporting documentation for renewal business and provide administrative support throughout the marketing process.
- Accurately maintain and update new and existing client information across all required systems and databases.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of client accounts, transactions, and related documentation in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide responsive customer service by addressing broker and internal stakeholder inquiries via phone, email, chat, and in-person communication.
- Support the preparation of reports and documentation related to brokerage operations, compliance activities, and business requirements.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and internal company policies and procedures.
- Assist in identifying operational risks and support the implementation of controls and best practices to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with brokerage, finance, and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of operational activities.
- Support the Brokerage team with special projects, ad hoc requests, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 0+ years of experience in the insurance industry, underwriting, brokerage operations, or a related field.
- Internship experience within insurance, risk management, brokerage, or financial services is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Sales, Finance, or related disciplines.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Licenses & Certifications
Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Property & Casualty and/or Surplus Lines licenses as required by state regulations.
Preferred
- Active Property & Casualty and/or Surplus Lines license.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and agency management systems.

The target hourly rate range for this position is $23.00 - $28.85 per hour.The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
