The role is anchored in community education—developing, delivering, and promoting health, safety, and injury-prevention programming that strengthens patient outcomes and enhances AMR's reputation in the communities it serves.

Beyond its core education mandate, the position supports external affairs and business development activities and provides limited support on local government and community-relations matters in coordination with the Regional Director, Legal & Compliance, and Operations leadership.  Public information officer (PIO) and media-relations experience is valued and may be applied as needed but is not a primary function of the role.

Essential Functions & Duties

  • Create and promote targeted health education programs and campaigns, including CPR, safety, and injury-prevention initiatives.
  • Schedule and deliver presentations to community groups, schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and staff AMR participation in community events, health fairs, safety fairs, displays, and exhibits.
  • Develop educational and promotional materials and presentations (flyers, PowerPoint, handouts, digital content).
  • Provide oversight and direction to community-facing AMR crews and community health education activities.
  • Maintain and promote a community events calendar and respond to requests for AMR participation at community events.
  • Maintain accurate records of community education activities and prepare annual reporting to demonstrate contract compliance.
  • Identify educational needs and, where appropriate, develop courses and community medical education offerings in coordination with clinical and medical staff.

External Affairs & Communications

  • Build and maintain relationships with individuals, community groups, associations, and organizations that support AMR's goals.
  • Act as a liaison between AMR and external community and healthcare partners to strengthen visibility and goodwill.
  • Support day-to-day communications and social media needs that advance AMR's community presence and messaging.
  • Ensure AMR is consistently represented as a professional, engaged, and trusted community partner at events and in the community.

Business Development

  • Support business development initiatives that align with corporate strategic objectives and partner service lines.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and help identify opportunities to expand AMR's community and customer base.
  • Participate in RFP processes and proposal writing as needed, contributing community-impact and outreach content.
  • Gather and analyze community and stakeholder trends to inform outreach strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Government & Community Relations Support
  • Provide limited support to the Regional Director on local community-relations and government matters as requested.
  • Help maintain positive working relationships with local community and civic organizations.
  • Stay generally aware of local regulatory or civic developments that may affect community outreach efforts, and flag relevant items to leadership.
