What You Can Expect

With minimal supervision, the Senior Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for the ongoing development, administration and operation of the designated activities associated with Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance of the company in the EMEA Region to ensure compliant smooth movement of goods.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Ensuring compliant trade by creating, maintaining and monitoring processes, procedures, work instructions and manuals
  • Participating in projects to ensure Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance requirements to be met, and manage projects as assigned by manager.
  • Monitoring, analyzing & interpreting applicable regulations as subject matter expert and implement changes to affected import/export processes or business practices to meet new compliance requirements.
  • Identifying, investigating and reviewing compliance aspects of any import/export activity.
  • Ensuring correct and accurate trade master data (like customs tariff and CoO) via respective processes and setting guidelines.
  • Ensuring record keeping and archiving requirements being met.
  • Preparing and submitting official applications, and communicating with related authorities.
  • Participating in use of SAP GTS system.
  • Assisting with or providing Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance training programs.
  • Interacting regularly with multifunctional groups in distribution, legal, outside service providers, management, procurement, engineering, transfer team and others to ensure an understanding of regulations to accomplish trade compliance objectives.
  • Responsible for the professional and personal development of all team members and potential direct reports

What Makes You Stand Out

Education

 

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or higher from an accredited university in a relevant field

 

Professional experience

 

•           At least 5 years trade compliance experience working in a similar role.

•           Knowledge of European and US trade compliance regulations.

•           Auditing/monitoring experience.

 

Special expertise

 

•           Experience with SAP ERP system

•           Experience with SAP GTS not required, but helpful

•           Experience with MS Office programs required

 

Languages

 

•           English language skills required; other languages, especially German and any other European additional language preferred.

 

Personal skills requirements

 

•           Ability to formally communicate with various government agencies, and all levels of the organization in written and verbal form.

•           Highly analytical, high ethical standards, organized individual with ability to process details efficiently and accurately.

•           Ability to interpret regulations surrounding European import/export compliance

Travel Expectations

Willing to travel 5-15% including some global.
