- Learn and apply software engineering best practices in product development activities.
- Contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of Emerson software products.
- Develop and maintain software features under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues identified during development and testing.
- Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to improve code quality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation as required.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Development, Testing, Product Management, and Customer Support.
- Support automation, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and development methodologies.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- MTech / Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline with graduation completed in 2025 or 2026
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented concepts.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C#, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn industrial automation technologies and Emerson products.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Academic projects, internships, or coursework related to software development.
- Exposure to Windows application development, web technologies, or cloud platforms.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Exposure to software testing, automation, or DevOps concepts.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools
- Knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, or IoT technologies will be an added advantage.
