Job Description:
The User Experience, Report Design & Adoption Lead is responsible for transforming enterprise technology data into intuitive, actionable, and user-centered experiences that enable decision-making, governance, risk management, and operational oversight. Reporting to the Head of Technology Data Management, this role serves as the bridge between technology data, business stakeholders, and reporting platforms, ensuring data products, dashboards, metrics, and reports are designed around user needs and business outcomes.
The role will establish enterprise standards for reporting, visualization, user experience, and adoption while ensuring technology reference data is delivered in a manner that is understandable, accessible, and actionable for executives, technology leaders, risk teams, engineers, and operational stakeholders. This position plays a critical role in maximizing the value realization and adoption of the Technology Reference Data platform by creating engaging user experiences and driving data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
User Experience Strategy & Design
Define and lead the user experience strategy for technology data products, reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
Develop design principles, standards, and best practices for enterprise reporting and data consumption.
Ensure all reporting solutions align with stakeholder needs, business processes, and governance objectives.
Create consistent and intuitive user experiences across dashboards, portals, scorecards, and self-service analytics platforms.
Promote accessibility, usability, and simplicity in all reporting and analytics outputs.
Report Design & Data Visualization
Establish enterprise standards for report design, visualization, information hierarchy, navigation, and dashboard development.
Design executive-level reporting solutions that provide clear visibility into technology performance, risk, utilization, and operational health.
Create persona-based reporting experiences tailored to executives, technology leaders, risk partners, engineers, operations teams, and auditors.
Ensure KPI scorecards, dashboards, and visualizations clearly communicate trends, risks, opportunities, and required actions.
Partner with Reporting and Business Intelligence teams to improve report effectiveness and usability.
Data Product Adoption & Consumer Enablement
Develop and execute adoption strategies that maximize utilization of enterprise data products and reporting assets.
Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the user experience and reporting solutions.
Measure adoption, user satisfaction, engagement, and business value realization.
Lead stakeholder training, communications, and enablement activities supporting technology data products.
Drive awareness of enterprise data assets through education, showcases, and governance forums.
Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Management
Partner with executive stakeholders, technology leaders, risk teams, and operational users to understand business questions, reporting needs, and decision-making workflows.
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and user journey assessments.
Translate business requirements into user-centered reporting, dashboard, and analytics solutions.
Act as the primary advocate for the end-user experience within the Technology Reference Data organization.
Support prioritization of reporting initiatives based on business value and strategic objectives.
Reporting Standards & Governance
Establish and govern enterprise reporting standards and visualization frameworks.
Ensure consistency in definitions, labels, calculations, thresholds, and presentation methodologies.
Partner with Data Governance teams to ensure reporting solutions align to approved business definitions and data standards.
Maintain reporting guidelines and documentation to promote standardization and reuse.
Ensure compliance with accessibility, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Performance Metrics & Insights
Define metrics to measure report effectiveness, user engagement, adoption, and business outcomes.
Analyze reporting consumption patterns to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Support KPI development and performance measurement frameworks used across the enterprise.
Deliver insight-driven recommendations to improve stakeholder adoption and decision-making capabilities.
Change Management & Communication
Lead communications and change management initiatives associated with new dashboards, reporting capabilities, and data products.
Develop stakeholder engagement plans to support new releases and reporting enhancements.
Create training materials, user guides, reference documentation, and adoption programs.
Act as a change champion promoting data-driven decision-making and self-service analytics adoption.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Communications, or a related discipline.
Master's Degree preferred in Business Administration (MBA), Analytics, User Experience Design, Information Management, or a related field.
Relevant certifications preferred:
Microsoft Power BI Certification
Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
UX Design Certification
Change Management Certification (Prosci or equivalent)
Agile Product Owner or Product Management Certification
8-12+ years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics, user experience, data visualization, or product management.
5+ years leading reporting, dashboard, adoption, or customer experience initiatives in large enterprise environments.
Proven experience designing executive dashboards, scorecards, and enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and stakeholder engagement methodologies.
Experience developing enterprise KPI frameworks, business metrics, and reporting standards.
Demonstrated success driving adoption and value realization for data products and analytics capabilities.
Experience facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements, and translating complex information into consumable experiences.
Knowledge of technology operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and risk management domains is preferred.
Experience working within highly regulated and governance-focused organizations.
Strong communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
