Your role and responsibilities

A Security Consultant specializing in Identity & Access Management (IAM) services, helps organizations understand and manage the entire identity lifecycle within their enterprise. They utilize commercially available IAM tools such as ISIM/ISAM, Cloud Identity/Okta/Sailpoint/MS Entra, to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) and manage user identities effectively. The consultant is proficient in directory services like TDI and AD, and has hands-on experience with SAML, OAuth, and scripting. This skillset enables them to create a secure and streamlined identity management system for the organization. The consultant is also proficient in developing scripts to automate the provisioning and migration of identities across Cloud, OT, IOT and enterprise IT.

Required technical and professional expertise

Deep expertise in IAM technologies: Hands-on experience with Okta, Azure AD, Saviynt, Ping Identity, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of IAM concepts: SSO, MFA, RBAC, LDAP, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and user provisioning.

Security protocols and frameworks: Knowledge of NIST, ISO, and Zero Trust architectures, as well as encryption and key management.

Cloud platform experience: Expertise in cloud IAM for platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Programming and scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or Java for automation of IAM tasks.

IAM lifecycle management: Experience with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and workflow automation.

Analytical mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex security challenges.

Excellent communication skills: Ability to work with stakeholders at various levels and translate technical details into business terms.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
