Product Information (PIM) and Digital Asset (DAM) Data Analyst
Summary of Position:
Alcon is looking to hire PIM Data Modeler who executes a structured approach to the collection, creation, and maintenance of master product data through PIM supporting the Item Database team. Tasked with owning a section of the Hierarchy from inception to final website presence. Acts as a StiboSystems Power User responsible for the integrity of the organization’s master product data systems. Drives data integrity through data governance, change management, data ownership, and quality assurance. Must be able to work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates, reviews, and approves product master change requests to ensure accuracy of data attributes.
- Responsible for a product detail content, classification, and attribute normalization with the taxonomy.
- Manages data requests in support of business processes, new product sales initiatives, and M&A (Mergers & Acquisition).
- Collaborates with various stakeholders regarding web presence and ecommerce.
- Creates dashboards and metrics within the PIM system.
- Drives excellence and ensures continuous improvement in quality of data through cleansing and best practices for data construction.
- Reports KPIs related to material master data management and drives a system of actions to complete requests in accordance with service level agreements.
- Provides input into the development of product information management data collection templates.
- Works collaboratively as a data steward within teams to ensure clear understanding of business requirements that are managed in concert with product information management data.
- Identifies opportunities to gain efficiencies, automate, and improve data quality.,
- Partners with cross functional stakeholders to support business needs.
- Follows all SOX / Audit compliance requirements.
- Understands data governance and control distribution of data points.
- Actively engages in continuous process improvement.
- Knowledgeable and compliant of company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, operations, marketing, or a related field and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Master Data Management (MDM), Data Stewardship, or Data Governance.
- Experience maintaining product data, metadata, taxonomies, classifications, and hierarchies within enterprise systems.
- Experience working with PIM, DAM, or MDM platforms such as Stibo, Acquia DAM (Widen), Reltio, Informatica, Salsify, or similar platforms.
- BI Experience is preferred. (ie Tableau, Qlik)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Understanding of data governance, data quality management, and stewardship practices. Knowledge of workflow management techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, Kanban, etc.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas across the team and to other key stakeholders
- Positive attitude
Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
