Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in Thailand office Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Senior Account Executive.

The Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) Practice draws from Marsh’s in-depth Global knowledge to deliver specialist services to the private equity, corporate, infrastructure, and alternative asset management industries. We work with clients during the lifecycle of an investment advising on risk and insurance matters at project finance and acquisition, portfolio management and, and exit / divestment stages. Our Global practice consists of more than 150 professionals based worldwide.

What can you expect?

In Thailand, we serve as the lead advisor for Lender Insurance Advisory for a well-known bank, supporting their Project Finance portfolio including infrastructure and Power & Energy projects together with specialists who have extensive experience in the Property & Casualty market and our dedicated Power & Energy project team.

PEMA Practice has a long-standing history of supporting private equity funds, corporates, financial advisors and law firms participating in M&A processes across the globe. We provide bespoke insurance solutions, such as warranty and indemnity insurance, to facilitate and enhance transactions. These solutions may be used by sellers to obtain a “clean” exit, or strategically by buyers to address transaction issues and enhance their bid.

Working closely with a client’s deal team, the TR team structures warranty and indemnity insurance and other transactional risk insurance solutions to provide comprehensive coverage for liabilities arising under the sale and purchase agreement negotiated by our clients. 

What is in it for you?

You will be responsible for working with corporate and banking clients, as well as their legal representatives, to advise on insurance considerations for project finance and on how M&A insurance products can be integrated into the transaction process to help achieve their commercial objectives.

We will count on you to:

  • Build and maintain relationships with the Lenders and M&A community, including financial sponsors, corporates, law firms and other advisors.
  • Undertake in-depth analysis on each client transaction to understand all potential risks associated with the deal and advise on possible insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with relevant project teams to handle and manage project finances including review some required information related to the projects. 
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on how M&A insurance products can be introduced to a transaction process enabling them to achieve their objectives.
  • Manage the policy and coverage negotiation process to ensure that the client’s commercial objectives are achieved
  • Work with colleagues across the PEMA division to ensure all available M&A services are introduced to the transaction.
  • Serves as first point of contact for day-to-day communication with numerous and/or complex accounts, follows up on correspondences and manages/maintains communications.

What you need to have:

  • Proven experience of developing client strategy and negotiating
  • At least 3-5 years insurance experiences (Infrastructure proficient is preferred)
  • Good command of English (oral & written)
  • Good Interpersonal Skill
  • Eager to learn new things on PEMA services/products
  • Can work under pressure
