Learn more at chain.link.About The RoleThe Engineering TeamAs Chainlink Labs’ engineering org scales, the DevEx team owns the infrastructure primitives that every product team builds, tests, and ships on top of. This role builds the Kubernetes-based control-plane components and automation that power our CI/CD platform, developer environments, and build systems — not the manual operation of them. By codifying platform logic into reusable Kubernetes Operators, GitOps workflows, and automation, you will ensure engineering velocity scales safely, predictably, and efficiently as the org grows. The impact is foundational: the infrastructure you build is not constrained by any single product’s roadmap, operational toil is reduced org-wide, and it directly determines how fast every other engineering team at Chainlink Labs can ship.Your ImpactYou will design and build the infrastructure primitives that define how our CI/CD platform, build systems, and developer environments scale across the entire engineering org.You will help build and operate the Kubernetes-based control plane behind our CI/CD platform, including:GitHub Actions self-hosted runner infrastructure (autoscaling, isolation, cost/perf tuning)GitHub Apps and GitHub-as-code (permissions, webhooks, org-wide automation)Secure network access for CI/CD and remote dev environments (Tailscale)GitOps-driven deployment of platform services (Flux)Ephemeral/on-demand developer environments and build systemsYou will develop the core infrastructure components — including Kubernetes Operators and scaling automation — that product teams adopt directly, reducing bespoke per-team CI/CD and environment tooling.This is not an operational support role.
