As Project Manager at Ford Credit, you are a key driver of Ford’s transformation. Your role is to lead the execution of complex and cross-functional IT projects that are defining current processes at Ford Credit.
We are looking for a strategic individual who shapes the way we work to deliver world-class services. You will embody the Set Ready Ford mindset within the Center of Excellence team by constantly seeking ways to simplify processes, remove bureaucracy and accelerate delivery. You are expected to lead projects by anticipating risks before they become roadblocks and to deliver excellence by ensuring every project outcome exceeds customer expectations. Your goal is to ensure Ford stays lean, agile, and ready to "Go Further." We need a self-driven contributor who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to building better processes and systems.
- Manage assigned projects from beginning to end, including the creation of documentation, quality of deliverables and resource capabilities.
- Ensure that the Executive Sponsor and Project Sponsors are aware of their responsibilities and support the tasks/resources required to successfully complete the project.
- Develop and maintain the Program Charter and Project Plan(s).
- Prepare reports, project status updates (one-pagers), executive summaries, and any additional documents required to provide project information at the necessary level.
- Control the technical aspects of the program/project.
- Control the day-to-day aspects of the program/project.
- Ensure tasks and responsibilities are assigned to appropriate project team members.
- Facilitate project team meetings.
- Establish and operate the governance for projects under supervision.
- Work with Governance to review and approve changes to commitments.
- Create PDO/Product deliverables.
- Track issues and scope change requests, escalating as appropriate.
- Manage IT releases for the projects assigned.
- Assist in resolving issues and initiating scope change requests.
- Track action items and budgets and controls the contingency element of the budget.
- Submit appropriate Products and/or PDO deliverables.
- Identify and resolve issues within the project team.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans focused on early mitigation or elimination.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is desired.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
- PMI certification (or similar) is desired.
- Self-driven: High level of energy, self-direction, and motivation; must be able to take initiative and act as an agent of change, requiring minimal supervision.
- Must be team-oriented with the ability to bring people together, leading and directing the development of specific goals and action plans in support of strategic objectives. Strong influencing skills are required.
- Customer-focused: Able to identify and interpret customer/business requirements.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects to successful completion.
- Must be creative and able to go beyond traditional objectives (Go Further).
- Excellent planning, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills across all levels of the organization.
- Adheres to Ford leadership behaviors and is well-respected within their organization.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
