Job Description
This Mobility Aftermarket buyer is responsible for enabling the supply of wiper components for multiple Bosch plants in Mexico, combining roles of Commercial Purchasing & Project Purchasing. Buyer title and salary commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include:
- Support supplier strategy development and execution
- Select cost-effective and qualified suppliers to achieve business objectives
- Negotiate supplier prices and conditions to reach economic targets
- Foster and manage supplier relationships
- Cascade Bosch initiatives and identify alternative strategies as needed to ensure a successful supply chain alignment
- Collaborate closely with external suppliers as well as other internal departments / stakeholders
- Maintain SAP master data, new supplier setups and plant extensions
- Independently perform bottom-up financial planning for suppliers / part prices / capital expenditures; then, track and report out cost development vs. budget
- Support supplier capacity planning and logistics escalations
- Ensure compliance and risk management
- Share technical expertise with global team
- Initiate and coordinate supplier or market-driven change projects (e.g., RPP, SCR, ECR, localization, resourcing...)
- Apply problem solving and escalation tools to achieve targets / improve processes
- Specific Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field required
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and processing orders
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Familiarity with and experience working in automotive industry OE procurement
