Data Platform Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As a Project Manager specializing in Data Platforms, you will lead a project team in delivering a solution that meets the project's charter or contract. You will be accountable for overall performance, managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Manage Project Scope: Ensure that the project stays within its defined scope, and any changes are properly documented and approved. This includes managing scope creep and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of changes.

• Deliver Project Results: Lead the project team to deliver results that meet the project's charter or contract, ensuring that the solution meets the required quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

• Apply Project Methodologies: Utilize project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor the project, ensuring that all aspects of the project are properly managed and controlled.

• Oversee Contractual Deliverables: Ensure that all contractual deliverables are met, including managing schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Coordinate Team Performance: Manage the performance of the project team, ensuring that all team members are aware of their responsibilities and are working towards meeting the project's objectives.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Project Management Methodologies: Exposure to project management methodologies, with the ability to apply them to plan, execute, and monitor projects, ensuring all aspects are properly managed and controlled.

• Big Data and Analytics: Experience working with Big Data and Analytics, with an understanding of how to deliver solutions that meet project requirements.

• Project Planning and Budgeting: Exposure to project planning and budgeting, with the ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables.

• Performance Management: Experience working with performance management principles, with the ability to manage team performance and ensure all team members are working towards meeting project objectives.

• Data Platform Delivery: Exposure to delivering data platform projects, with an understanding of how to ensure successful project delivery.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Business Analysis Expertise: Experience working with business analysis principles, with an understanding of how to deliver solutions that meet project requirements.

• Strategic Planning: Exposure to strategic planning, with the ability to develop strategies that align with project objectives.

• Change Control Management: Experience working with change control principles, with the ability to manage changes and ensure all stakeholders are informed.
