Position Summary

The Senior iOS Engineer will be joining a Mobile Development team responsible for building an iOS based platform to enable customer facing iOS teams across CVS Digital to quickly and easily build, test and deliver experiences into the hands of our customers.

We're looking for an iOS engineer passionate about building tools, libraries and processes that reduce toil, improve developer experience, reduce cognitive load and accelerate delivery of features.

*This position is remote. We can consider candidates in any time zone across the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build scalable iOS platform solutions, including architecture, UI state management, data access, build tooling, CI/CD, and performance optimization

  • Partner with engineering teams across CVS and Aetna to identify common challenges and deliver reusable solutions that accelerate development

  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, clean code practices, accessibility, security, and performance standards

  • Develop tools and automation such as CLIs, GitHub workflows, bots, linting rules, and other solutions that improve developer productivity

  • Maintain and evolve the iOS platform by troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and continuously improving reliability and usability

  • Provide technical guidance to product and engineering teams, promoting best practices and identifying risks early in the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in designing/developing iOS mobile applications

  • 3+ years of experience with modern iOS development frameworks such as SwiftUI

  • Experience using Xcode to create, enhance, and publish iOS apps to the Apple App Store using Swift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a platform or enablement team, building shared frameworks, libraries, or tooling for other engineers

  • Strong understanding of the iOS development lifecycle, including Swift, Xcode, testing, release management, and App Store deployment

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., XCTest), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and Apple Human Interface Guidelines, with experience delivering customer-facing products at scale

  • Proficiency with source control systems such as Git and Agile software development methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills and experience creating technical documentation for developer-facing solutions

 
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
