Shift: Full Time, 11:00PM-7:00AM, Every other weekend and holidays
Job Description
Transports patients to and from various units as directed, safely and comfortably. Picks up and delivers materials and/or equipment as needed.
Job Responsibility
1.Transports patients in wheel chairs or on stretchers to and from various units as directed.
- Responds to page promptly.
- Uses proper body mechanics during transfer and transport.
- Transports patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, as directed.
- Notifies staff upon arrival of patients.
- Reports any changes of patient's condition during transport to charge nurse.
- Ensures proper height is kept on I.V. set-up when transporting patient.
2.Promotes and maintains cleanliness and effective functioning of transport equipment.
- Reports defective wheelchairs and stretchers to Supervisor.
- Cleans transportation equipment.
3.Picks up and delivers materials as directed within the Hospital promptly and accurately.
4.Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- One (1) year experience in a medical setting, preferred.
- Good communication skills-fluent in English.
- Physical demand are constant walking, standing, stooping, bending, turning, lifting; Frequent stretching, pulling, pushing; Occasional sitting.
