Your role and responsibilities

As a SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) Manager / Senior Consultant, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA SD solutions for clients across multiple industries. You will act as a trusted advisor for order‑to‑cash and commercial process transformations, ensuring alignment between business objectives, SAP S/4HANA capabilities, and SAP best practices. You will oversee project teams, support business development initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across SAP SD engagements.

Client Engagement & Advisory

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on SAP S/4HANA SD topics, providing strategic guidance and industry best practices across sales, billing, and distribution processes.
  • Translate business requirements into robust S/4HANA SD functional designs, ensuring solutions support commercial, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Lead workshops, process assessments, and solution walkthroughs with senior sales, supply chain, finance, and IT stakeholders.
  • Advise clients on order‑to‑cash process optimization, pricing strategies, and compliance needs in S/4HANA environments.

Solution Design & Delivery

Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA SD functionalities, including:

  • Sales Order Management
  • Pricing, Rebates, and Condition Techniques
  • Shipping and Transportation Processing
  • Billing and Invoicing
  • Output Management and Document Generation
  • Intercompany and Third‑Party Sales

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Oversee end‑to‑end project lifecycle activities: blueprinting, configuration, testing, cutover planning, go‑live, and hypercare.
  • Support ECC to S/4HANA transitions, including system conversions, process redesign, and activation of new SD functionalities.

Team Leadership & Project Management

  • Lead and mentor SAP SD consultants and offshore teams, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and methodological consistency.
  • Coordinate SD and cross‑functional workstreams, managing timelines, risks, dependencies, and scope changes.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, coaching, and capability development within the SAP SD practice.

Business Development

  • Contribute to pre‑sales activities, including solution definition, demos, effort estimation, proposals, and client presentations related to SAP S/4HANA SD.
  • Stay current on SAP S/4HANA SD roadmap and innovations, including pricing enhancements, advanced ATP, RISE with SAP considerations, and intelligent order management.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA SD, including order management, pricing, billing, shipping, and logistics integration.
  • Deep understanding of end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash (O2C) processes and integration with FI, MM, PP, EWM/LE, and TM.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP SD solutions, producing high‑quality functional specifications and process documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a strong focus on process optimization and business value realization.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP deployment methodologies, best practices, and governance frameworks in consulting environments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
