Job Description
Teledyne Energetics is seeking a seasoned Plant Controller to serve as the financial leader for the site and the primary focal point for accounting, cost management, contract accounting, inventory valuation, revenue recognition, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. This role partners closely with local management and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial results, strong operational support, and compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, ASC 606, FAR, and CAS requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee site financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Manage the revenue process and ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements.
Review contract terms, including EAC considerations, to ensure proper revenue recognition and resolve accounting discrepancies or irregularities.
Lead and maintain revenue forecasting through regular updates and collaboration with stakeholders.
Monitor production costs, cost of sales, inventory valuation, standard cost versus actual cost performance, product margins, and related analytics.
Serve as a business partner to the local management team by providing financial insight, operational support, and recommendations to improve business performance.
Maintain strong internal controls, SOX compliance, accounting integrity, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Streamline finance processes and procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and control effectiveness.
Build, manage, coach, and develop the accounting team to support site and business objectives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
+7 yrs of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, cost accounting, revenue accounting, and financial analysis.
Strong understanding and practical application of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
Working knowledge of FAR and CAS preferred.
Strong organizational, time management, analytical, verbal communication, and written communication skills.

Salary Range:
$120,300.00-$160,400.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
