From the food you eat, to the water you drink, to the medicines you rely on, Eurofins laboratories work with the biggest companies in the world to ensure the products they supply are safe, their ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate.Eurofins is dedicated to delivering testing services that contribute to the health and safety of society and the planet, and to its corporate responsibility to protect the environment and ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion across the entire network of Eurofins companies.Job DescriptionAssociate Chemist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriateDemonstrates and promotes the company visionRegular attendance and punctualityDemonstrate skill in using the computer to access information, perform complex mathematical calculations and prepare reportsAnalyze samples independentlyReview, evaluate, calculate, enter, upload and verify data as requiredDocument data following SOPsPerform instrument troubleshootingPerform quantitative transfer and dilutionsRead and understand the principles of instruments used for assigned workPerform effective written and oral communication with coworkersEvaluate current analytical system performance and suggest/implement improvements to maximize quality and productivityAssist with updating SOPs as needed to ensure complianceKeep individual training records updatedConducts all activities in a safe and efficient mannerPrepare various analyses using approved methods and SOPRun instrumentation associated with Instrumental Wet Chemistry, including but not limited to discrete analyzer, flow analyzer, TOC analyzers, and Ion ChromatographyPerforms other duties as assignedPosition is 2nd Shift, M-F OR Tues-Sat.  Training will be on 1st shift, M-F, but may be able to be flexible. QualificationsBasic Minimum Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; or equivalent experience or two years (or more) of directly related industry experience.Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipThe ideal candidate would possess :Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsPrevious experience in a lab setting Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesAdditional InformationPay range: $18-19/hour + 10% shift differential Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.  We offer excellent full-time benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, and dental and vision options.*The benefits package offered will vary based on the employee’s full-time or part-time regular status.We support your development!
