This campaign aims to hire an IT Service Desk specialist for the Firm to join our information technology team based in Karachi. We are seeking motivated and skilled Network and System Support Engineers to join our IT team at Level 1 and Level 2 support roles. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintaining the network and system infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.  Examples of the skills, knowledge, and experiences you need to lead and deliver value at this level include but are not limited to:

Technical Skills:

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, routers, switches & wireless network  

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN,VLAN and network security concepts. 

• Assist in network configuration, upgrades, and patch management. 

• Assist end-users with troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity problems to ensure seamless user experience. 

• Hands-on experience with networking devices such as Cisco, Juniper, or similar vendors.  

• Participate in network incident response and provide on-call support as needed. 

• Assist in capacity planning and recommend upgrades to improve network performance and scalability. 

• Ensure network infrastructure compliance with annual audit requirements by preparing documentation, identifying gaps, and implementing corrective actions. 

• Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. 

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment. 

• Ensure network security by managing access controls, monitoring vulnerabilities, and maintaining secure network configurations. 

• Good written and communication skills to work with global teams. 

Vendor Correspondence, Negotiation & SLA Management 

• Communicating with vendors for service requests, connectivity issues, repairs, and replacements.

• Negotiating turnaround times, resolution targets, and service credits per SLA.

• Managing vendor escalations and ensuring timely updates during outages/issues.

• Maintaining professional written correspondence (email/ticket notes) and audit-ready records.

Qualification Required: Bachelors in computer science or any equivalent IT Qualification 

Minimum Years of Experience: 1.5 years 

Certification(s) Preferred: CCNA
