About the SEO Team
- 20+ strong SEO team based in London and Cornwall, UK
- We are a close-knit team who work hard but also have a lot of fun
- Although we have a hierarchy we like to operate in an open and inclusive way

- The team is made up of SEO generalists, technical SEO experts, SEO content writers and Digital PR specialists
- We have great collaboration between our main London office and satellite Cornwall office. Last year we went on a trip to Cornwall together - we surfed, walked and had fun.
- These trips aren’t mandatory so if they’re not for you that’s ok too!
- We work with clients across automotive, luxury fashion, travel, charity, technology sectors and more!
- The DEI team at Artefact is led by two members of the SEO team - DEI is very important to us
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Content Director and Content Manager in managing client relationships and delivering SEO campaigns.
- Manage individual workstreams on larger accounts and take day-to-day ownership of smaller accounts.
- Contribute to client growth and strategy plans alongside the wider account team, ensuring activity supports client objectives.
- Deliver agreed work on time and to a high standard, monitoring campaign performance, timelines and outcomes.
- Present campaign progress, insights and recommendations at monthly client reviews.
- Develop SEO content strategies and calendars, adapting plans to respond to emerging search trends and opportunities.
- Conduct research and create outcome-focused content briefs.
- Support junior team members in producing content that meets the brief, including proofreading and quality assurance.
- Optimise new and existing content to improve visibility across traditional and emerging search experiences.
- Upload and manage content within client content management systems.
- Build trusted client relationships and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, products, services and audiences.
- Collaborate with account management and cross-channel teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Provide clear performance insights for client reporting.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- 2–4 years’ SEO experience within a digital marketing or agency environment.
- Good understanding of SEO and digital marketing, with up-to-date knowledge of search best practice.
- Experience conducting keyword research, analysing performance and developing practical SEO recommendations.
- Experience using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Google Trends.
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience supporting client relationships and clearly explaining SEO recommendations and results.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, use initiative and work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Understanding of content marketing, such as onsite content strategy, digital PR or influencer marketing, and how it can support SEO performance.
Desirable
- Experience using seoClarity or a similar enterprise SEO platform.
- Experience using Google Workspace.
