Operational EW Specialist - Mission Data & Ground Support System (d/f/m)
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our interdisciplinary field of Ground Support Systems. We are an international Team within the Mission Systems center of competence. We are responsible for developing and maintaining modern ground support systems for the A400M, Eurofighter and Tornado platforms at the Manching site in Germany.
Our products enable preparation, test and evaluation of mission data libraries before being uploaded to the aircraft, especially in the context of electronic warfare, defensive aids and electronic combat.
The job holder will become part of an agile team developing state-of-the-art EW (Electronic Warfare) mission data systems for the aforementioned platforms for international clients.

Your tasks and responsibilities
To provide expert guidance to systems engineers on how airforce units utilize EW mission data in real-world scenarios.
Support the system development team with your operational knowledge throughout the life cycle of the mission support systems projects, which includes system concept definition, system design, requirements validation, system test & qualification in an agile approach
Translate complex defence EW operational needs into clear technical requirements for engineering teams.
Define, document, and validate end-to-end operational use cases for EW ground support software.
Design the concepts, interfaces, and workflows required to seamlessly integrate our ground support systems into the EW Center operational infrastructure
Support and participate in customer meetings, technical reviews and workshops to iterate and improve the customer satisfaction with our products.
Generate representative EW mission data libraries to support aircraft development phases, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, and flight test.
Foster collaboration within our project team and with involved stakeholders - internal and external
Actively support the continuous improvements of our products, projects and processes
Desired skills and qualifications
A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
Operational defence EW background: multiple years of active-duty or civilian experience within the National Electronic Warfare Center
Mission Data Expertise: proven, hands-on experience in EW Mission Data programming, emitter customization, or the generation of threat libraries
Ground Support Systems: deep understanding of the operational lifecycle of EW systems, including mission data preparation, mission data verification/validation, and post-flight analysis
Strong team player, independent working method and high quality awareness
Strong communication skills
Language skills: business fluent in German and English is an advantage
