Own the Outcome.MSHS Pacific Power Group is seeking a Large Bore Engine Superintendent to serve as a senior technical authority and field leader across marine, offshore, power generation, and industrial engine projects.This is a high-responsibility role for a seasoned engine professional who has progressed from hands-on technician to trusted field leader. You will lead complex overhauls, guide field teams, troubleshoot major failures, and represent MSHS as a subject matter expert on large bore diesel platforms.If you have deep engine knowledge, can diagnose catastrophic failures, and are comfortable owning major field projects from start to finish, this is your opportunity.What You’ll Be DoingLead large bore diesel engine overhauls and complex field service projectsServe as technical SME across multiple engine platformsTroubleshoot complex mechanical and system failures using performance data and root cause analysisLead and coordinate field teams of varying size and experienceProvide onsite leadership for government, offshore, and high-criticality projectsSupport advanced machining procedures and specialty tooling operationsMentor and develop junior engineersInterface with Sales, Technical Support, and Project Managers to support quoting and executionParticipate in customer meetings and represent MSHS professionallyManage project scope, field execution, and schedule expectationsSupport cost control and performance accountabilityComplete detailed service reports, change orders, and government documentationRequired Qualifications10+ years of progressive hands-on experience working on large bore diesel enginesProven progression from field technician to field leader5+ years leading field teams on major engine overhauls or complex projectsAdvanced knowledge of engine diagnostics, auxiliary systems, governors, and performance analysisStrong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, lube oil, and cooling systemsExperience conducting root cause analysis on major component failuresAdvanced ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematicsExperience performing or leading major repairs including crankshaft replacement and engine timing proceduresAbility to travel up to 75–80%Valid driver’s licenseTWIC, Passport, and ability to obtain offshore certificationsAbility to lead government and regulated projectsAbility to read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishPreferred ExperienceExperience across multiple OEM platforms such as MAN, Wärtsilä, CAT, MTU, or similarExperience supporting sales teams with technical input for quoting future workExperience managing multiple field projects simultaneouslyExperience mentoring and training junior engineersFamiliarity with advanced diagnostic tools such as vibration analysis and thermal imagingMarine, offshore, or power generation backgroundLeadership ExpectationsAct as a technical ambassador of MSHS PPG in the fieldMaintain professionalism under pressureResolve field conflicts and drive team accountabilityDeliver projects safely, accurately, and on scheduleRepresent the company with integrity and technical authorityWhy MSHS Pacific Power GroupOur Superintendents lead projects that power ships, ports, facilities, and critical infrastructure.
