Reporting to the SVP, Market Access, this role serves as the operational, analytical, and governance backbone of the Market Access department. The role owns pricing and contracting operations, government pricing and compliance, departmental systems and budget administration, and market access analytics, while also contributing payer marketing and value narrative development and early market access input into pipeline assets still in clinical development.
The Market Access team leads the development and execution of pricing, reimbursement, HEOR, Trade & Distribution, patient support services, and access strategies for uniQure's rare disease/gene therapy portfolio. The team works in close partnership with Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Legal, and cross-regional stakeholders to shape evidence generation, value communication, and access planning across the product lifecycle.

Salary Range: $246,000 - $318,000
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, relevant years of experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from where they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

Key responsibilities
- Manage pricing and contracting operations, including contract lifecycle management, and administration of rebates and chargebacks.
- Oversee government pricing and reporting, including Medicaid Best Price, ASP, and 340B ceiling price calculations, and monitor Most Favored Nation (MFN) policy filings and requirements.
- Manage Global Pricing Committee secretariat activities, including meeting governance, documentation, and monitoring of pricing approvals.
- Lead the payer marketing strategy and overall market access value proposition and messaging development.
- Lead market access analytics, including payer segmentation, market landscape research, and demand/access forecasting.
- Monitor competitor intelligence development activity and the evolving Huntington's disease competitive and access landscape.
- Track departmental budget managing OpEx and ensuring financial management targets are achieved.
- Manage Field support systems such as Veeva CRM/Vault, and oversee data governance and user access across the Market Access team.
- Track launch readiness milestones, maintain risk logs, and oversee budgets across HEOR, Trade & Distribution, Account Management, and Global Market Access.
- Compliance lead for Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG, and FDAMA adherence for Market Access SOPs and materials review.
- Provide early market access strategy and input into R&D and clinical development for pipeline assets pre-commercial, including evidence generation planning and trial endpoint/PRO selection.
- Lead market access training and enablement content to build Market Access team capability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Senior market access operations leader with 10+ years of experience in market access, pricing and contracting, or government pricing within biotech/pharma; experience in rare disease or gene/cell therapy strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicaid Best Price, ASP, 340B, and pricing-related compliance frameworks, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and OIG guidance.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in payer segmentation, forecasting, and competitive intelligence.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management and payer/distributor agreements, including ex-U.S. distribution partnerships.
- Familiarity with government policy considerations on pharmaceutical pricing in areas such as Most Favored Nation (MFN), Inflation Reduction Act etc.
- Experience administering field support (e.g. Veeva CRM/Vault or comparable market access systems).
- Payer marketing experience and ability to translate health economic outputs into key value messages to payers.
- Experience supporting early market access input into clinical development, ideally for orphan/rare disease programs.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, working closely with HEOR, Patient Services, Trade & Distribution, Legal, Finance, and Compliance.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including committee secretariat support and launch readiness tracking.
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, JD, or related) preferred.
