About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Lab Supervisor to lead laboratory operations and ensure all testing activities are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customer requirements, laboratory standards, and company quality objectives. This role is responsible for laboratory setup, testing management, equipment calibration, audit readiness, laboratory capability development, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead and develop laboratory operations, including laboratory setup, workflow optimization, and testing capability enhancement.
Supervise daily testing activities and ensure compliance with approved test methods, standards, and procedures.
Review and approve test results, laboratory records, and testing documentation.
Provide technical guidance, training, and troubleshooting support to Lab Technicians.
Manage laboratory equipment, calibration programs, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment qualification processes.
Ensure testing records, calibration records, training records, and laboratory documentation are maintained accurately and remain traceable.
Lead laboratory preparation for customer audits, internal audits, certification assessments, and accreditation programs.
Coordinate corrective actions and ensure audit findings are closed effectively and on time.
Support new material evaluations, product validation, process improvements, and customer testing requirements.
Work closely with QA, Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and external laboratories to support business objectives
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in Polymer Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Footwear Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a testing laboratory, quality laboratory, or manufacturing quality environment.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience in laboratory setup, equipment qualification, calibration management, or laboratory operations.
Experience supporting customer audits, laboratory accreditation, or laboratory approval programs is highly preferred.
Experience with plastics, foams, EVA, footwear materials, or polymer testing is an advantage

Strong knowledge of laboratory management systems, testing processes, and quality requirements.
Good understanding of equipment calibration, measurement systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
Experience preparing for audits and maintaining compliance with laboratory and customer standards.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate laboratory personnel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
