About the Role

As Chief of Staff at Solstice, you will drive the strategic and operational agenda of the company, reporting directly to the co-founders and collaborating across the executive team. You will connect high-level vision to actionable plans, ensuring initiatives align with our strategic priorities and facilitating their successful execution. Your role will encompass operational excellence in people, recruiting, finance, strategy, and cross-company logistics. You will:

 
  • Provide co-founders support by managing executive communications, attending key meetings, helping set/prioritize agendas, managing timelines and deliverables, and serving as a trusted thought partner.

  • Collaborate on company-wide goal setting and roadmaps, ensuring alignment on strategic vision and holding teams accountable for objectives and projections.

  • Help build the people infrastructure of the company include onboardings, payroll, company events and performance reviews.

  • Support top talent onboarding, build scalable systems for recruitment, and set internal process standards.

  • Handle cross-functional special projects projects, especially those outside the traditional org chart or that cross departments.

  • Enable organizational and financial operations, overseeing expense management, budgeting, and partnering with leadership on financial planning and analysis.

  • Manage executive and team meetings, owning agenda creation, objectives, cadence, and follow-up on action items.

  • Act as "connective tissue" between leadership and the broader company, translating strategy into results and maintaining high standards for documentation and project management.

  

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Designing, owning, and evolving People Ops processes (onboarding, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, performance reviews)

  • Partnering with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and managing operational expenses

  • Coordinating and driving strategic projects with engineering, product, commercial, and operations

  • Building infrastructure for scalable recruiting: sourcing strategies, interview process improvement, and developing repeatable "talent flywheel" systems

  • Plugging operational gaps and implementing process improvements across teams

  • Creating/optimizing systems, processes, and cadences that support growth and execution

  • Maintaining high standards for project management, deliverables, and internal documentation

  • Have 3–8 years' experience in highly cross-functional, strategic, and project-driven environments (Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, fast-growing tech start-ups, People Ops, or operational/financial management)

  • Are fascinated by technology and the future of entrepreneurship

  • Learn fast, execute relentlessly, and excel in ambiguous, fast-paced, in-person startup settings

  • Are organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive

  • Communicate with clarity and tact and enjoy writing thoughtfully and eloquently

  • Are curious, observant, logical, and creative, with the polish to interface with senior leaders

  • Take initiative and enjoy working collaboratively as a great teammate with no ego
