We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. The impact you’ll make As a Wet Chemistry Hardware Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.What you’ll do Lead wet chemical process hardware development from concept through productization, including chamber design, prototyping and validationDesign and integrate fluid delivery, recirculation, drainage and spray systems for high-performance wet processing applicationsDevelop PnIDs, chamber layouts and flow concepts to ensure uniform chemical distribution, thermal stability and process performanceSelect materials and components with focus on chemical compatibility, corrosion resistance and long-term reliabilityDefine requirements, perform engineering analyses and execute testing to validate chamber, fluidic and thermal performanceGenerate technical documentation, FMEA and specifications to deliver safe, manufacturable and cost-effective solutionsCollaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams while providing technical leadership and mentorship in wet process hardware and chamber designWho we’re looking for Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experienceExcellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skillsHighly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, and othersHands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plusExperience in leading projects, or problem solving while managing time and multiple prioritiesWhat we're offering This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F, depending on your educational background.
