Senior Engagement Manager, Developer Transformation

Bengaluru, IndiaFull-timePosted Jul 27, 2026
Are you ready to lead the AI-driven transformation of how enterprise software teams build, ship, and scale? Do you combine deep technical credibility with strategic business acumen to drive measurable developer productivity outcomes at Fortune 500 companies? Can you operate independently in ambiguous environments — setting direction when strategy is unclear and turning undefined opportunities into quantifiable business impact?

As a Senior Engagement Manager for Developer Transformation (DevTx), AWS India, you will own end-to-end strategy and execution of AI-native developer transformation programs across India's largest enterprise customers. You will lead complex, multi-stakeholder engagements where scope, ownership, and success criteria are often undefined — bringing clarity, setting direction, and driving documented business outcomes. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior engineering and business stakeholders, connecting developer AI adoption to measurable business value (productivity gains, time-to-market acceleration). You will build mechanisms that scale impact beyond individual engagements, shaping how AWS's developer transformation methodology is delivered across the APJ region.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the India AI-DLC engagement pipeline — proactively identify, qualify, and prioritize developer transformation opportunities across ISVs, GSIs, FSI, and Enterprise segments by diving deep into customers' engineering organization structures, technology stacks, and business priorities. Define intake criteria and triage mechanisms that enable scale across the team. Convert undefined customer interest into scoped, investment-justified engagement proposals with clear success metrics and ROI projections.
• Develop and articulate executive-level narratives that connect developer transformation to business outcomes — productivity ROI, innovation velocity, and competitive differentiation. Tailor value propositions by industry vertical and customer maturity, and present independently to VP/CxO-level engineering and business leaders.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with Solutions Architects, Developer Specialist SAs, and field teams to design and execute AI-native engineering transformation programs — including AI-DLC workshops, and Kiro and developer tool adoption accelerators. Own engagement architecture and sequencing decisions. Resolve technical ambiguity by making informed trade-offs.
• Own end-to-end engagement lifecycle — from qualification and scoping through delivery, measurement, and post-engagement follow-up — for complex enterprise developer transformation programs. Manage a portfolio of 8-12 concurrent engagements across industries (FSI, manufacturing, technology, telecom), ensuring progress toward documented, measurable outcomes. Track and report pipeline metrics (ARR, opportunity conversion, engagement-to-launch ratio) with full accountability for India DevTx program targets.
• Design engagement governance structures — defining scope, success criteria, escalation paths, and exit criteria — in partnership with customer technical and business stakeholders. Evaluate feasibility, long-term value realization potential, and AWS investment ROI before committing resources. Establish systems that ensure consistent engagement quality and eliminate non-differentiated work through automation and reusable frameworks.
• Drive alignment across AWS internal teams (account managers, solutions architects, specialist teams) and customer organizations (engineering leadership, platform teams, developer communities). Navigate competing priorities and organizational politics to maintain momentum on transformation initiatives. Serve as the single thread connecting customer business outcomes to AWS technical delivery.
• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior engineering leaders (VP/Director level) within customer organizations. Be recognized as the go-to person for developer platform strategy and AI-driven engineering transformation. Engage occasionally with C-suite executives on strategic transformation vision and engagement decisions.
• Guide customers in designing their AI-native software development operating models — from tool adoption (Kiro) through methodology transformation (AI-DLC framework) to organizational change management. Ensure transformation initiatives deliver verified, quantified business outcomes within agreed timelines.
• Capture and systematize learnings from engagements into reusable assets (playbooks, case studies, enablement content) that multiply team effectiveness. Provide actionable customer feedback to AWS teams that informs DevTx charter and strategy. Contribute to thought leadership through internal blogs, external case studies, and conference presentations.
• Coordinate with APJ and Global DevTx peers on cross-geography engagement opportunities, shared customer programs, and methodology standardization. Represent India DevTx in regional forums and contribute to scaling successful India engagement patterns across APJ.

What Makes This Role Unique

This is not a traditional Engagement Manager or Professional Services role. In this role, you will:
• Own programs, not projects — drive multi-quarter customer transformation journeys, not time-boxed billable engagements
• Combine strategy with execution — present transformation roadmaps to VPs of Engineering one day, then triage intake queues and unblock engagements the next
• Own business outcomes — be accountable for pipeline metrics, opportunity conversion, and ARR — not just engagement satisfaction scores

A day in the life
Your days will be varied and high-impact. One morning you might be reviewing a customer's AI-DLC workshop feedback, refining the follow-up plan that converts a successful prototype into a production adoption roadmap with clear revenue implications.

Later that day, you could be presenting a transformation case to a customer's leadership team — articulating why their 5,000-developer engineering org needs a structured AI-native development program and what the expected business outcome looks like in 6 months.

Between meetings, you'll triage new engagement requests in the intake queue — qualifying a GSI's ask for Kiro enablement, deprioritizing a low-signal opportunity, and connecting an account team with the right specialist SA for a complex developer transformation scoping and review.

You'll spend time building — creating reusable engagement frameworks, updating pipeline trackers, and authoring the narrative that justifies expanding DevTx's footprint into new customer segments. You'll collaborate with your global peers to exchange learnings, align on methodology standards, and identify customers with cross-geography presence that need coordinated engagement strategies.

This role requires balancing strategic executive engagement with operational program management — you'll shift between leadership conversations and intake triage daily.
