Floor Sweeper Operator

Pay: $26 - $27

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

• Operate street sweepers, parking lot sweepers, and other industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

• Remove dirt, debris, dust, and litter from assigned work areas.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Conduct routine maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleaning equipment components.

• Identify and report mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions.

• Maintain accurate records of daily operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and environmental regulations.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

• Ensure assigned routes and work orders are completed on schedule.

• Assist with general labor duties related to site cleanliness and maintenance as needed.

• Operate equipment during day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts when required.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Preferred

• Previous experience operating street sweepers, vacuum trucks, construction equipment, or similar heavy machinery.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to safely enter and exit equipment multiple times throughout the workday.

• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Outdoor and industrial work environments.

• Exposure to dust, noise, traffic, and changing weather conditions.

• May require overtime, weekends, evenings, or emergency response work.
