We have a team of dedicated, experienced investment advisors who identify opportunities in the various asset classes and employ the best strategies and product vehicles to cater to each client’s needs. Coupled with partnerships within the DBS network and with global institutions, we strive to build long-term relationships with our Private Banking clients in Asia by providing them with high quality, timely and extensive wealth management, investment and financial solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to maintaining and enhancing the AML/CFT governance and control framework
  • Execute quality assurance for account openings, CDD reviews and Name Screening alerts clearance by KYC team
  • Generate comprehensive finding reports and propose actionable quality improvement initiatives
  • Effectively communicate and brief management and relevant stakeholders on identified deficiencies, suspicious AML activities, or other non-compliance issues
  • Conduct data analysis, prepare presentation deck, and MIS reports
  • Serve as the point of contact and coordinator for Internal/External Audit activities and Compliance testing related to KYC reviews
  • Prepare reports for management reporting to facilitate relevant reviews and strengthen control procedures and process
  • Deliver internal AML training and QA sharing sessions to both the Front Office and KYC team
  • Conduct Risk & Control Self-Assessments
  • Maintain and regularly update operational manuals and guidelines pertinent to KYC Quality Assurance, ensuring full alignment with Group policy and requirements
  • Efficiently coordinate and implement process changes driven by regulatory or policy updates
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in day-to-day operations
  • Drive continuous improvement in the team's output, focusing on both quality and efficiency
  • Actively participate in and represent the team at various local/regional meetings with KYC, FCSS, Compliance, and other relevant departments
  • Keep abreast of global AML/CFT developments that impact due diligence and ensure compliance with all other controls and processes
  • Master and promptly integrate any updates to internal procedures and processes
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and min. 8-10 years of experience in KYC/AML, risk, or controls, preferably Private Banking
  • Proficient in Private Banking KYC/AML regulations (e.g., HKMA & MAS, CRS & FATCA)
  • Solid understanding of private banking services and operations
  • Strong knowledge of AML legal/regulatory requirements, compliance principles, and corporate governance
  • Detail-oriented, compliance-focused, diligent, and proactive
  • Self-motivated, independent, and accountable team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels
  • Strong presentation and report writing skills
  • Adept in project management and problem-solving
  • Analytical and creative problem-solver
  • CAMLP/AAMLP and CAMS or equivalent qualifications are a plus
  • Language proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
