The Carrier Account Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day relationships with an assigned portfolio of insurance carrier partners, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and long-term account success. Serving as the primary point of contact, the Carrier Account Manager partners closely with internal teams and carrier stakeholders to support onboarding, implementation, ongoing account management, issue resolution, and performance reporting.
This role focuses on building trusted relationships, delivering exceptional partner experience, and ensuring carrier objectives are achieved through proactive communication, collaboration, and continuous operational support.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned carrier partners, building strong, trusted relationships through responsive and proactive account management.
- Deliver exceptional service by understanding carrier objectives and ensuring timely resolution of requests and operational issues.
- Facilitate and support successful onboarding and implementation of new carrier partnerships, process improvement, and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and lead recurring carrier meetings, a status updates to communicate priorities, escalations, feedback and action plans.
- Manage issue escalation by coordinating cross-functional resources and driving timely resolution of carrier concerns.
- Exhibits Operational leadership by working closely with Revenue Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, Call Center, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teams to ensure successful execution of carrier initiatives.
- Act as the Voice of the Customer by gathering and communicating carrier feedback to internal stakeholders to improve processes, products, and overall partner satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate account documentation, project timelines, and communication records.
- Ensure contractual obligations, implementation milestones, and service commitments are met throughout the carrier relationship.
- Identify opportunities to improve account health, strengthen carrier engagement, and identify additional revenue opportunities.
What you'll bring:
- 2–5 years of experience in Account Management, Client Services, Customer Success, Partner Success, or a related client-facing role.
- Demonstrated experience managing ongoing client or partner relationships in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
- Strong relationship management and customer service skills with the ability to build credibility and trust with external and internal partners.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting performance metrics and developing actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Tableau, Ironclad, and SharePoint is a plus.
- Prior experience within Healthcare, Health insurance, Medicare, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare Advantage and Health Care Reform is a plus.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
