As a Principle Engineer Applications in our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team, you work hand-in-hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting-edge designs, all while building longlasting partnerships that thrive on success. Are you in? Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred) * 5+ years of experience in semiconductor applications engineering, preferably in automotiv * Proven expertise in Automotive Ethernet technologies and Automotive Sensor/Display bridge. (e.g., 100BASE-T1, 1000BASE-T1, 10BASE-T1S, MultiGig) Strong understanding of: * Ethernet PHYs and switches * Network protocols: TCP/IP, AVB/TSN, SOME/IP, DoIP * Signal integrity and high-speed design principles * Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, protocol analyzers) * Experience working directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers * Excellent communication and presentation skills Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership: Serve as the lead technical advisor for assigned OEM and Tier-1customers Drive design-in and design-win activities for Automotive Ethernet PHYs, switches, and associated products Provide system-level guidance on in-vehicle networking architectures(zonal, domain, backbone) Support customer bring-up, debugging, and optimization in hardware and software domains Conduct technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions * Product & Application Support: Assist customers in schematic design reviews, layout recommendations, and signal integrity considerations Support compliance with automotive standards (OPEN Alliance, IEEE 802.3,100/1000BASE-T1, 10BASE-T1S, MultiGig Ethernet, Asymmetrical MultiGig Ethernet, etc.) Troubleshoot complex integration issues across hardware, firmware, and network layers Develop and deliver application notes, design guides, and reference implementations * Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as the voice of the customer within the company to influence product roadmap and features Collaborate closely with R&D, product marketing, and quality teams Provide detailed feedback on silicon performance, specifications, and customer requirements Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations * Business Impact Contribute to revenue growth through successful design wins and customer retention Support account teams in pre-sales technical strategy and positioning Identify new opportunities in emerging automotive architectures (ADAS, autonomous, SDV) * At Infineon, we are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all voices are valued and everyone has equal opportunity to contribute to our success – Automotive (ATV) shapes the future of mobility with microelectronics enabling clean, safe, and smart cars – The ATV division is shaping the future of mobility by enabling clean, safe, and smart cars.
