Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 3 or 4 to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. This requisition can be filled at a level 3 Principal Software Engineer or a level 4 Sr. Principal Software Engineer. This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future. Additionally, the candidate must be able to travel to Redondo Beach, CA for approximately 4 consecutive weeks for required training. In this role, you will develop and sustain several mission operational SW product lines, as well as develop new capabilities. You will join a large team comprising of multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our national security mission. Basic Qualifications for Level 3: * Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 1 year experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * Must have Active SCI Access at time of application OR an Active TS Clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date * Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills * Proficiency with C++ programming * Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system Basic Qualifications for Level 4: * Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 4 years experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * Must have Active SCI Access at time of application OR an Active TS Clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date * Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills * Proficiency with C++ programming * Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system Preferred Qualifications: * DevSecOps Test Automation experience * Experience with programming/scripting languages: C.
