Summary and Scope

The Chief Architect of Corporate Systems will be responsible for leading the design and enablement of Chubb’s Finance, Risk, Actuarial, HR and Legal platform architectures applying defined strategies, frameworks and patterns for the delivery of innovative business solutions across the enterprise.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead enablement and evolution of current corporate systems platform strategies, assessing and addressing gaps and introducing additional capability as required.
  • Develop and evolve corporate systems platforms architecture reference models and frameworks and facilitate their enablement and adoption within the enterprise.
  • Develop options, recommendations and roadmaps on application transformation and modernization.
  • Work with product delivery and operational support teams to develop resilient, adaptable, modular and scalable solution architecture designs.
  • Champion adoption of enterprise governance processes and tools while contributing to development and establishment of design patterns and technology standards.
  • Maintain the corporate systems technology assets profiles in Chubb global repository including lifecycle and strategic positioning as well as coordinate effective reuse across the enterprise.
  • Act as an enabler of AI-SDLC and Architecture as Code practices in collaboration with product delivery and operation support teams
  • Act as a catalyst to foster innovation and reuse of global platforms and frameworks across the enterprise

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of leading finance architecture initiatives from blueprint to solution design and implementation

  • Experience in development of enterprise architecture methodologies and standards, application modularisation and modernisation including adoption of Micro Service Architecture models

  • Experience in Integration Architectures from API Mediation and Event Bus models, cloud solution design and implementation of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and hybrid models

  • Experience in Information Security and Risk Management

  • Hands on experience on Cloud platforms like Azure and GCP

  • Experience in delivery of large programs using modern programming languages like Python

  • Experience in modern UX/UI application delivery using technologies like Angular

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to interact effectively with internal and external individuals combined with strong business acumen, instinct and understanding of products, risk appetite and niches.

  • Track record of high achievement in a team-based and results-oriented culture

  • Proven track record in relationship-building and driving change in a matrixed work environment, project management ability and drive-for-results orientation.

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail, excellent planning, documentation and problem-solving skills.

  • Holder of a Bachelor's Degree
