The Space Superiority Division, within Space Systems Sector, seeks an organized, self-motivated individual to join our Business Development Team. This individual will lead site visit activities, maintain and report pipeline activities in Salesforce, and provide other operations and integration project management support.
This role is uniquely positioned to have insight into the business across the enterprise to include business development, government relations, and cross-functional activities within Space sector, other sectors, and corporate organizations.
This position reports to the Manager, Business Development Operations and is located in Dulles, VA. You will manage projects and assignments, so must be able to work independently, initiate tasks and identify appropriate resources. You should be equally comfortable working with peers, and senior leaders and be prepared to work across all functional organizations. In addition, there is much collaboration required across Divisions and Sectors within Northrop Grumman. Effective daily engagement with team members in different locations/multiple time zones will be required, therefore strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Basic Quals (Level 2):
* Bachelors degree from an accredited university and 2+ years of related professional experience; Masters degree with 0 years of experience; and or 6 years professional experience in lieu of degree
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to manage expectations and activities of cross-matrixed teams and stakeholders.
* Identify and secure venues, identify and lead support teams, develop the event flow, prepare movement plans, and conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure site readiness.
* Develop, manage and communicate event logistics with stakeholders to ensure the event/meeting aligns with overall strategic goals and objectives.
* Ensure participants are prepared through dry-run visit/event preparation sessions and walkthroughs.
* Prepare and present talking points and prep packages for company leadership.
* Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
* Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
* Ability to work collaboratively on a team and across teams, with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to handle physical demands, such as standing and walking for long periods.
* A valid driver’s license.
* Ability to Obtain a Clearance at the time of application
* Ability to travel up to 25% of time
