Job Summary:
The KC AR Controller is responsible for overseeing KC accounts at a global/regional level, from an Accounts Receivables perspective. This role involves reporting to KC AR Manager on managing accounts across various geographies and products. The controller will engage with relevant stakeholders to provide visibility of outstanding receivables, establish partnerships to address issues structurally, hold relevant functions accountable for implementing required solutions and escalate to KC AR Manager/Vertical Lead wherever support or intervention needed. Additionally, the controller will identify flag standardization and automation opportunities with FPO/PPO as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Owns KC Account from Accounts Receivables perspective for assigned regions, areas or products.
Act as a backup for the KC AR Manager and also for other KC AR controllers within the group portfolio
Manage daily collection activities through regular connects with customer contacts and other stakeholders as required.
Apply knowledge and experience in the functional area to solve common business issues and share best practices
Engage with relevant stakeholders, address issues, and fix structurally
Understand the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions, and provide inputs to make decisions
Identifies and flags standardization/automation opportunities with FPO / PPO as needed.
Handles happy and unhappy flows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting operations, including cost accounting, budget accounting, and accounts payable/receivable.
Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
Experience with change management and process improvement using AI.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of business operations and interdependencies between functions.
Prior experience in Shipping & Logistics would be preferrable
Willing to work on midshift
Amenable to accept a temporary contract for 6 months
