We are currently seeking a Configuration Senior Analyst-Ninja One to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Role Summary
The NinjaOne SME is responsible for managing and supporting endpoint operations using the NinjaOne platform, with a primary focus on third-party application patching, remote support, endpoint health monitoring, automation, and operational reporting.
The role acts as a technical specialist within the Enterprise Endpoint Management practice, supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting complex endpoint issues, maintaining patch compliance, and enabling secure and efficient remote support for client environments.
The SME will work closely with service delivery teams, security teams, client stakeholders, and endpoint engineering teams to ensure that patching and remote support services are delivered consistently, securely, and in alignment with agreed SLAs, change controls, and governance standards.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the NinjaOne platform for endpoint management, third-party patching, remote access, device monitoring, and automation.
- Own third-party application patching activities, including patch assessment, deployment planning, scheduling, testing, rollout, validation, and reporting.
- Configure and maintain third-party patch policies, patch approval workflows, deployment rings, exclusions, maintenance windows, and reboot controls.
- Provide remote support for Windows endpoints using NinjaOne remote control and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Monitor endpoint health, agent connectivity, patch compliance, failed deployments, and device-level alerts.
- Investigate and resolve patch failures, agent issues, software deployment problems, and remote connectivity issues.
- Support vulnerability remediation by coordinating third-party patch deployment for applications identified through security or compliance scans.
- Work with ITSM teams to ensure incidents, service requests, changes, and problem records are managed in line with client governance.
- Create and maintain operational reports covering patch compliance, deployment status, failed devices, exceptions, and remediation progress.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for endpoint support, patch validation, cleanup activities, software deployment, and recurring operational tasks.
- Support client change management processes for patch deployments, emergency patching, production rollouts, and rollback planning.
- Coordinate with application owners and security teams for third-party application testing and business impact validation.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, known error articles, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in service reviews, patch review meetings, compliance discussions, and operational governance forums.
- Provide technical guidance to L1/L2 engineers on NinjaOne operations, patch troubleshooting, and remote support processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve patch success rates, reduce manual effort, enhance automation, and improve endpoint compliance.
3. Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with NinjaOne or similar RMM / endpoint management platforms.
- Experience in third-party application patching, patch policy configuration, patch deployment, compliance tracking, and remediation.
- Strong understanding of Windows endpoint administration, endpoint troubleshooting, software deployment, and remote support.
- Working knowledge of third-party patching for common enterprise applications such as browsers, Adobe products, Java, collaboration tools, utilities, and productivity applications.
- Experience with remote support tools, endpoint diagnostics, service troubleshooting, log analysis, and user support.
- Good understanding of patch lifecycle management, including testing, pilot deployment, phased rollout, rollback, exception handling, and reporting.
- Scripting knowledge using PowerShell for endpoint troubleshooting, automation, reporting, and remediation.
- Understanding of endpoint security basics, vulnerability remediation, CVE-based patching, and compliance-driven patch management.
- Experience working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow for incidents, service requests, changes, and problem management.
- Ability to analyze patch failures, deployment logs, endpoint health status, and agent communication issues.
- Understanding of change management, maintenance windows, business impact assessment, and production deployment governance.
- Ability to create dashboards, reports, compliance summaries, and executive-level operational updates.
4. Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM / Configuration Manager, ManageEngine, Automox, BigFix, or other endpoint management platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, vulnerability management, and endpoint exposure remediation.
- Experience supporting large enterprise endpoint environments across multiple regions.
- Familiarity with software packaging, MSI / EXE deployment, command-line installation switches, and silent uninstall methods.
- Experience with patch automation, remediation scripts, device cleanup, and endpoint compliance improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Windows Update for Business, Windows patching, and device restart governance.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or client-specific compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to SLA / KPI reporting, service reviews, operational dashboards, and client governance meetings.
5. Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 7–8 years of overall IT experience, preferably in endpoint management, desktop engineering, patching, or remote support.
- Hands-on experience with NinjaOne or equivalent RMM / endpoint management platform.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Microsoft endpoint, Windows administration, PowerShell, or security-related certifications are preferred.
- NinjaOne platform training or certification, where available, is preferred.
6. Behavioural Competencies

- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills for endpoint, patching, and remote support issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues, risks, and remediation plans clearly.

- Process-oriented approach with strong adherence to change management, documentation, and governance.
- Ability to prioritize work across incidents, service requests, patch deployments, and compliance requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, SLA-driven managed services environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with focus on automation, reporting, and operational efficiency.
