Job Purpose

  • To assist IBG Management meet the strategic and operational objectives. Conduct independent checks to ensure that the Group’s risk and control processes are adequate and effective.

Key Accountabilities

  • Nil High Risk and repeat Audit issues.
  • Conduct thematic reviews on Policy, process, and Credit risk.
  • Improve processes wherever required as an outcome of the Thematic reviews.

Job Duties & responsibilities

  • Develop thematic review plans, scope, and objectives.
  • Conduct thematic reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Perform filed work, including data analysis, and testing of controls.
  • Perform reviews on credit and operational including system process to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations for management.
  • Monitor the implementation of recommendation and report on the status of corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities of process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Work with various departments to implement best practices and enhance internal controls, wherever possible.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of thematic reviews.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Keep abreast on the development of regulatory, industry and product developments.

Required Experience

  • Qualified CA/MBA (full time) Finance from accredited institute with atleast 7 - 10 years of relevant auditing experience in Corporate lending, Trade Finance, Digital Channels, and/or with relevant GTS (Trade, custody & Cash) product and operations experience.
  • Work experience with Big 4 Audit firm will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Credit Processes, Trade Finance and KYC/AML Controls in the Banking industry.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, can communicate with clarity, both orally and in writing, in a logical order and with a structured approach.
  • Ability to multi-task assignments, prioritize workload with limited supervision and be resilient under pressure when faced with tight deadlines.
  • Auditing in Banking , Knowledge of Credit and Trade processes
  • CIA, ACAMS, CFE, CDCS anyone will be an added advantage

Education / Preferred Qualification

  • CA/MBA (full time) Finance from accredited institute with atleast 7 - 10 years of relevant auditing experience

Work Relationship

  • All Business Unit & Support Units, Legal, Compliance, Operational Risk, Credit and Operations. Additionally close coordination with group IBG COO office is required.
