Position Summary As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals in accordance with physician-ordered diets, sanitation standards, and resident preferences. You will work closely with the dietary department to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our residents. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals according to approved menus, recipes, and dietary requirements. Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control standards are met. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation guidelines. Assist with food preparation, storage, inventory, and kitchen organization. Collaborate with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members to support resident nutritional needs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations. Qualifications Previous cooking experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or institutional cooking experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
