Senior Specialist Programmer I/II
Location: Warsaw, Poland Hybrid model of work: 3 days in office, 2 remote per week

This role will be focused on static data visualizations in SAS Viya or other applicable technology.
The Senior Specialist Programmer I/II is a delivery focused role responsible for programming deliverables with quality and timeliness, following established standards and processes. This position requires technical skills and adequate industry knowledge to independently perform the programming tasks while using judgement about seeking guidance in complex situations. They can be responsible for supporting medium complexity clinical study deliverables or parts of project deliverables. They will act as a contributor on cross-functional teams, or a lead on small teams to deliver continuous improvement.
Typical Accountabilities
- Apply computer science and information technology for the development and maintenance of medium to high complexity tools and related processes supporting the Biometrics analysis and innovation process.
- Support the development of programming standards/best practice or techniques to improve the quality, compliance and efficiency of deliverables for overall AZ programming community effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and objectives for own work or team.
- Support evaluations of Biometrics tools and efficiencies in collecting different types of data and production of analysis.
- Support for the design, development and maintenance of single point Biometrics processes and tools supporting analysis and innovation.
- Ensure computer system validation compliance for production tools for audit ready state.
- Leads quality of own deliverables and completeness of applicable quality and process documentation.
- Seeks to acquire knowledge of computer science and/or information technology and or programming.
- Leads medium complexity projects and may lead small teams within improvement projects.
Essential
- BSc (or local equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Life or Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in developing efficiencies and improvements in programming utilities and tools.
- Extensive SAS programming expertise (and/or other programming languages).
- Understanding of Analysis and Reporting within Clinical Development.
- Understanding of Data Management within Clinical Development.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills.
- Ability to apply programming expertise to problem solving and quality focused.

- Understanding of compliance principles preferably supported with an audit experience.
Desirable
- Understanding of other programming languages (e.g. R, Java, Groovy, Spotfire, C/C++, VBA/VBS, .NET, Python, Pearl) would be advantageous.
- SAS Viya familiarity
- Project management experience.
