Senior Product Manager
Our team is committed to enhancing physician and patient quality of life through Elation, a SaaS cloud-based clinical platform. Our clinical data only creates value for physicians and patients when it flows reliably through the vendor and compliance ecosystem around it. Keeping that ecosystem documented, translated into clear engineering requirements, and running smoothly is what this role is all about.
The Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll own the connective tissue between our external vendor and compliance ecosystem and Engineering's execution turning dense vendor specs and compliance requirements into clear, buildable work, while keeping the data and documentation behind it airtight.
Primary care clinicians have repeatedly awarded Elation "Best in KLAS" in our category, a recognition earned in part because our clinical data integrations the ones you'll own simply work. Reporting into Product, you'll partner with Staff PMs, Engineering, and CX, sitting at the exact point where vendor relationships (eRx, Labs, Vaccinations and more) meet the technical teams who build against them.
The right candidate thrives in technical complexity comfortable translating ambiguous vendor and compliance requirements into precise engineering work, and curious enough to dig into the data until they find the real answer. If you want to do meaningful work at the intersection of data, compliance, and healthcare technology, we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll do
- Owning product health monitoring and insights to share with engineering and product teams, on how well adopted and utilized our services and features are with customers - across the EHR.
- Own documentation and runbook maintenance across our vendor integrations.
- Manage day-to-day vendor and compliance relationships
- Translate vendor specs and compliance requirements into Engineering-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Partner with Design and Engineering to shape solutions, not just specs weighing in on workflow and interaction tradeoffs before work gets built
- Talk directly with customers and internal stakeholders to validate that what we're building actually solves their problem
- Project-manage vendor integration and upgrade timelines
- Partner with Engineering on implementation details and edge cases for vendor-facing features
- Use AI tools to accelerate documentation, requirements drafting, and stakeholder communication
What we're looking for
Success in this role can take many different shapes — we don't expect you to arrive having mastered every part of it. If you feel you're a strong candidate for this role and excited to collaborate, we encourage you to apply.
- 3–5+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Technical Program Manager in healthcare tech or another regulated industry
- Strong data & technical fluency: comfortable reading API docs, writing/interpreting SQL queries, and tracing data flow diagrams end-to-end; can dig into the data itself (not just the specs) and speak credibly with Engineering on implementation details.
- Vendor/compliance relationship management experience
- Experience working in scrum/agile environments knows how to write user stories, manage backlogs, and run planning
- Compliance/regulatory comfort: has worked with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or similar healthcare data standards
- Product development instincts: comfortable partnering with Design on solution direction, not just requirements, and confident running customer conversations to pressure-test what's being built
- Detail-oriented: naturally catches edge cases, missing requirements, and ambiguous acceptance criteria
- AI proficiency for documentation, requirements, and communication tasks
Nice to have
- Experience building lightweight automations (Zapier, Make, Retool) for recurring ops workflows
- Background in support/technical case triage
- Prior experience in a formal vendor negotiation or contract-management capacity
Salary: $150,000 - 180,000k/yr
