Adolescent Medicine - Physician – Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center and School Based Health Centers – Manhattan, NY
The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center is seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Pediatric, Family Medicine, or Adolescent Medicine Physicians to provide primary and specialized care at our main center and at our school-based health centers in Manhattan.
Since its establishment in 1968 as the first primary care program in New York specifically created for the health needs of teens, the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC) has grown to become a model of excellence in adolescent health care nationally and worldwide. We have broadened our vision to match the needs of the Center's steadily rising number of young people we serve, growing from 900 in 1971 to more than 8,000 each year.
The MSAHC provides care and wellness for young people by providing vital services—high quality, comprehensive, integrated, and confidential—for all who come to the Center, at no cost to them. The MSAHC advances adolescent health as a national imperative by serving as a leading center of clinical care, specialized training, innovative research, and advocacy.
- Direct Patient Care:
- Provide direct inpatient and outpatient care within our busy, interdisciplinary Adolescent Health Center. This includes primary and specialty adolescent and young adult healthcare, reproductive health services (including LARC), care for youth with HIV, eating disorders, and chronic disease management.
- Provide direct outpatient care within one or more of our middle and high school based health centers in Manhattan, including primary and specialty adolescent health care.
- Teaching: Precept adolescent medicine fellows, pediatric residents, and Icahn School of Medicine medical students in the outpatient setting at the Adolescent Health Center. Serve as an attending physician on the inpatient adolescent medicine consultation service at Kravis Children’s Hospital of Mount Sinai Hospital.
- Administrative: Engage in opportunities for the development of new programs and participate on medical school and hospital committees.

- English/Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
- MD or DO degree
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Adolescent Medicine
- Active New York State Medical License

Compensation range from 169K to 250K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
