Expected salary range of $167,400 to $186,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Responsibilities
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Participate with Supply leadership in developing appropriate Supply Chain Management strategies and tactics. Provide support of day-to-day Supply Chain Management operations with guidance in areas of supply programs and technical support, analytical and project management support, employee development, knowledge retention and communication strategies. Oversee the management of personnel and activities of the construction sourcing function for Constellation. Act as the primary liaison and technical expert from Supply on construction related souring issues with suppliers and business partners.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee and manage contracting and associated purchases; lead negotiations with suppliers for major design, engineering, equipment packages, and services contracts across multiple technologies within the power generation industry.
- Provide governance direction to contract administrators, procurement and sourcing specialists and other supply personnel, as appropriate, within assigned business and spend categories.
- Define and drive implementation of sourcing, purchasing and best practices. Define and implement standard procurement/sourcing practices to improve overall effectiveness; identify current trends and best practices to drive process improvement with stakeholders and secure sponsorship to continuously improve.
- Lead personnel (both within and external to Supply) to achieve objectives across multiple sourcing initiatives. Prioritize competing needs and assign tasks to support strategic sourcing initiatives and other Supply projects, as appropriate.
- Develop and implement the strategy for effectively managing sourcing and contracting spend to meet Constellation Energy Generation's goals; incorporates spend analysis, industry analysis, economic trends, risk analysis and mitigation plans and communication/change management strategies
- Supervise Supply Management personnel.
- Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science, or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
- Demonstrated project and change management skills.
- Hands on experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract negotiations
- Turbine supply and major equipment purchasing experience within the generation industry
- Demonstrated command of supply management practices and concepts. Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers.
- Ability to meet and exceed customer requirements while managing multiple projects and competing priorities, including the ability to present and defend positions before executive audiences.
- Demonstrated data analysis capability and the ability to evaluate financial impacts of sourcing decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, conflict management and communication skills. Ability to challenge clients and leadership effectively where appropriate. Strong ability to hold Suppliers accountable for performance
- Ability to effectively navigate in a support organization
- Balancing competing priorities while building and maintaining productive relationships. Ability to constructively manage conflict among stakeholders.
- Demonstrated business acumen, ability to grasp technical requirements and communicate effectively with business unit and corporate personnel to meet customer expectations.
- Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions.
Qualifications

- Strategic sourcing and strategic category management experience
- JD with meaningful legal transactional experience
- MBA degree
- Supply professional certifications
- Power generation industry experience
- Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers.
- Experience with power plant development projects
- Working knowledge of Project, Contract, and Construction Management processes used in the generation industry
