About the role 

Leads new product introductions, manages engineering changes, and coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches. Drives problem-solving, continuous improvement, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities 

As a Product Engineer, you'll be responsible for: 

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Execute assigned NPI projects or product workstreams from development through production launch. 

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure project milestones are executed on time.

  • Drive launch readiness reviews, pilot builds, production qualification, and ramp-up support.

  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks associated with product and process launches.

Engineering Change Management 

  • Execute implementation and tracking of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). 

  • Evaluate impacts to product design, BOMs, manufacturing processes, tooling, inventory, validation, and qualification requirements.

  • Coordinate change implementation across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

  • Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and closure of engineering changes.

Technical Problem Solving & Product Improvement

  • Lead root cause investigations for product, manufacturing, quality, or customer-related issues.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, customer, and company requirements.

  • Support product cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.

  • Assist in execution of engineering validation plans. 

  

Requirements

As a minimum you must have: 

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field. 

Experience 

  • 3–4 years of experience in: Product Engineering New Product Introduction (NPI) Sustaining Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering Technical Operations Support 

Technical Knowledge 

  • Product development lifecycle and NPI processes.

  • Engineering Change Management (ECN) and BOM structure.

  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Management processes. 

  • Product validation, qualification, and compliance methodologies.

  • ERP systems, preferably SAP, and CAD systems such as Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

  • Root Cause Analysis, structured problem solving, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and risk assessment tools.

Language 

  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
